BP Oil Spill day 100
April 20th 2010 |
Today July 28th marked the 100th day of the BP oil spill in the gulf the story started April 20th when a ocean riser blew up. It killed 11 people. Then the oil started gushing out into the Gulf of Mexico. BP had tried these attempts to stop it : "Top Hat" "Top Kill" , a cap, and finally a better cap. That on around day 89 no oil leaked in the gulf for the first time since April 19th.
Attacks and anger on BP happened including on the CEO of the British Oil Comany ,Tony Hayword, was ousted from day to day in U.S spill and now being transfered from CEO to a leader at BP Russia. The economic impact may be worse fishers in the gulf had to stop work because of the spill and many other oil workers in the gulf had to quit due to stops on banning of oil drilling. Also due to beaches being closed there was really no one coming to the beaches due to fear of oil. On day 100 we are still waiting for the relief wells to finally happen and stop this all. Most of the oil has been degrading in the water due to natural processes. Scares happend too including 2 tropical storms which gladly did nothing to the oil.
many beaches have been closed due to the spill. |
Now here's a video with more coverage from CNN.

Breaking News House Votes 224-206 to Approve Rule for Health Care Debate
Sunday March 21st 2010
Mychiller news- The House voted 224-206 Sunday to approve the rules for debate of a massive health insurance overhaul that evidently satisfies few but is viewed by House Democrats as better than no reform.
House Republicans were doing all they could to slow the increasingly inevitable march toward the overhaul and were joined by 28 Democrats who voted with Republicans against the rule, which laid out plans to limit debate.
Two more showdown votes were left -- passage of the Senate bill and then the package of changes to the Senate-passed bill, including deletion of special Medicaid benefits for Nebraska known as the " cornhusker kickback" and other deals made to win Senate support.
President Obama will have to sign the Senate bill into law before any "fixes" bill goes to the Senate under fast-track rules that would enable Democrats to pass it without facing a Republican filibuster. Democrats control 59 of the Senate's 100 seats, one vote shy of the number needed to overcome bill-killing filibusters from a united GOP.
But senators have given no guarantees they will pass the fixes, which are strictly the wishes of House Democrats.

Dismissing calls for months to scrap the plan and start over, House Democrats grew increasingly confident throughout the day that they would have the 216 votes needed to pass the legislation approved in the Senate on Christmas Eve.

Shame on you : Abc News ?
Written by Terry of mychiller.com
Abc News paid for an interview with the accused Casey Anthony , the one in court for the murder of her daughter allegedly, they paid $200,000. Something strange to me thought they fired 400 staffers about 2 weeks ago to save money . Though Abc Said :"In August 2008, we licensed exclusive rights to an extensive library of photos and home videos for use by our broadcast platforms, affiliates and international partners," "No use of material was tied to any interview."
The payments were revealed Thursday in an Orange County, Fla., court proceeding, which was concerned with whether Anthony can be declared indigent and thus receive a taxpayer-funded defense.

Well then Shame on you ABC! Don't pay for interviews you are not In touch magazine. Because you pay for an interview you are tainting the news and not making it good for journalism. Don't do it again!!

Opinion: Toyota's big problem by Mary of mychilleropinion
Where in the world has this gone on too? Toyota is suffering badly now due to their safety problems that have even caused hearings , I don't know how hearings help anything , many cars and models from Toyota and Lexus have been recalled to due to accelerator and break problems . Now my why is the government going to anything about this problem? Hopefully no because they would screw it up but then at that same time is Toyota credible anymore? Why should they be considered creditable? Now to make a decision but you have to tell Toyota yourself you are dissatisfied with Toyota then don't buy a Toyota. We can do as many hearings as we want government but if people get hurt by this it won't work out. Face it , we may have caused this ourselves we wanted cars that were energy smart and wanted cars that had a way to use the time when you are stopped to power up your car. These are powered by computers and computers have glitches. So really why would I want a hybrid car if they can't it right?

Jay Leno Going Back to 11:30?
Jay Leno Going Back to 11:30?
Share
More from PopEater
I find this story interesting that Jay Leno may go back to his old 11:30pmET. His 'JayLeno Show' has not done well. Many affiliates mad at NBC but the question is what will happen to late Nights on NBC with this big mess. Conan on the otherhand has been doing badly on the Tonight show. Right now the list for Late Shows is 1. Nightline 2. The LateShow with David Letterman and 3. Tonight show with Conan O' Brien. Though this could be a mess even more for NBC.

For our entertainer of the year we decided to pick Susan Boyle the reason for this choice was that she was found out on 'Britian's got Talent' that her stardom come from nowhere the story of her at age 47 to become a star in the Music world her voice has insipried people. The story of her is amazing.
Our second choice is Taylor swift she's the young conutry singer who's carrer has been going well this year made her more famous as she was heading with more hits and her winning of Awards at MTV and CMA's. These are our enteratiners of the year 2009.

croglogmychiller persons of the yaer 2009: Journalist of the year
Mychiller Croglog persons of the year2009 as we now turn to talk about Journalist of year that we had to know that this selection was bound to happen. Diane Sawyer is the choice she took the spot as ABC WORLD NEWS primary anchor this month after Charles Gibson retired. She has become the second female to become the main of anchor evening news after Katie Couric on CBS ,who Sawyer is now competing against. To be found ironic that Diane and Couric used to compete in the Morning. She left her morning job at Good Morning America to take the spot. What can be said on how she has changed the news in evening which is going into a different trend with more viewers leaving the evening news for more other things like Cable TV news and the internet. She's the choice for this spot but when we have another journalist for our twitter section coming up. She's going a new path in News and this will be seen as a new idea for a news time that needs something new.

Mychiller-Croglog Politican of the year 2009
Last year if you asked who would be politician of the year 2008? Many would say Barark Obama but who should we have for our first we have decided that Sarah Palin is this years politician of the year for the reason she was brought into politics on the national stage last year after Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain when she brought into as a Vice Presidential candidate. So her 2009 she stepped down as governor of her State Alaska in July some think she is running for President in 2012. He political future some say has far to go. She's one of our Mychiller-Croglog person's of the year.
