   The Supreme Court  gave it's final ruling for this court term , on DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act ) and California's Prop 8.  Ruling that DOMA was unconstitutional   in a 5-4 decision. read more here.

Former New England Patriots player , Aaron Hernandez , has been charged with the murder of  a friend, He has pleaded not guilty.  read more here 

3.  Australia  PM ousted 
   Julia Gillard, the first female Prime Minster of Australia , has been ousted by her party after 3 years  the man she replaced , Kevin Rudd, won the party vote and he will become Prime Minister.   Read more here

4. Mandela 
  Former South African president , Nelson Mandela , is now on life support  reports say.  Supporters have been praying and well wishing since news of Mandela's health got worse on Sunday. read more here. 

5. Paula Deen 
    After celebrity chef, Paula Deen' s,  appearance on "Today"   Walmart and other companies have announced they are dropping her products.  This comes after her program was dropped by Food network after her  admitting she said racial slurs  in a court deposition. read more here   watch Today show interview here.
