Opinion: OBAMA'S Big Mistake

OPINION
Opinion for Croglog by Lewis O. ( A contributor to croglog , his views don to represent the views of Croglog)
President Barark Obama tried to give his reasoning for the “No Fly zone” military action in Libya, A reason that was good to interfered in the affairs of another country that was not interfering with another country. A good reason to try to knock a leader out power of said country. I checked my calendar and made sure it wasn't 2003, it sure sounded like it was 2003. “Well Gadaffy is killing is own people”, some try to reason as answer. Mr. Obama and his crew tried to make a reason of why they are sending our streched military to Libya. They are helping people called the rebels , we don't even know who they are ,they could be terrorists groups and we helping people with out full information.

Spending bill passes house: 3 week supply

Nation

Washington DC- The House passed a spending bill that will cut $56billion  and  supply enough money for the government  to run for 3 more weeks. This is the second time this month since the first spending bill ,that was passed, allows the government to run until Friday. This is buying more time while the Republicans and the President  hash out an agreement over the  by a 271-158 vote despite opposition from some tea party-backedconservatives who said it "kicks the can down the road" instead of imposing steep and immediate spending cuts.

The Atlanta based company is  buying the Los-Veags based company for $1.7-billion. Cumulus would own 572 radio stations across about 120 U.S. markets once the deal announced Thursday closes.          Sprint Nextel (S) and Deutsche Telekom are in talks to merge it's T-moblie USA with Sprint to help compete against the larger us carriers of AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ) .  These are update to old talks that didn't go anywhere between the two companies.  Sprint  has showed it wants to own more than half of the merged company and it's CEO would be the leader.  Sprint which is losing steam due to not having a  large name phone like AT&T and Verizon and not a famous network like the rest.

The protesting in Libya over  Gaddafi , who led the country for 41 years , is getting a  crackdown by the supporters of the dictator. The U.N froze his assets, last month. Talks of no-fly zones and invasion , is haste. The man is crazy. It's sad to see what he is doing  but at the same time if we try to fix it he could probably go crazy and do unthinkable things. The situation is delicate  and needs to be treated carefully , the risks. The Pros and cons of what invasion or no fly zone means.  We should learn about thinking hasty doesn't work as well we have examples of that in chances of crisis. Just as in Egypt , what will happen shall happen and  less people will die if we don't interfere in my own mind.

  Nation Wisconsin
Governor Scott Walker (R) of WI announced Thursday, he will start the lay-off process of 1,500 state workers if State senate Democrats who are hiding in Illinois to refuse budget cut bill. With the 14 senators gone the state senate can't a have a quorum. They say that the measures will cripple the public unions. Walker's budget proposal hinges on the state saving $330 million over two years from forcing state workers to pay more for their benefits. He's also cutting aid to schools and local governments by about $1 billion, reductions he says they can't handle without the freedom he gives them through eliminating nearly all collective bargaining with public workers.

     Westboro Baptist Church Ruling
A Kansas church that attracted nationwide attention for its angry, anti-gay protests at the funerals of U.S. military members has won its appeal at the Supreme Court, an issue testing the competing constitutional rights of free speech and privacy.

The justices, by an 8-1 vote, said Wednesday that members of Westboro Baptist Church had a right to promote what they call a broad-based message on public matters such as wars. Rising Gas Price

     Money  Consumer
    Shelly Mychiller Money-
Gas prices this week have increased 17¢ following a high rise of oil prices which are scratching between $90 to $100. Gas prices were highest in Hawaii, where drivers paid $3.761 a gallon, on average. Wyoming had the lowest gas prices at roughly, $3.032 a gallon.  This could effect the American economy ,which is mostly consumer spending based . Oil prices have been driven higher by political unrest in North Africa and the Middle East, where much of the world's oil comes from. Despite the surge in prices this week, the amount of oil that has been taken off the world market has been relatively minimal.

BP Oil Spill day 100

April 20th 2010

Today July 28th marked the 100th day of the BP oil spill in the gulf the story started April 20th  when a ocean riser blew up. It killed 11 people. Then the oil started gushing out into the Gulf of Mexico. BP had tried these attempts to stop it : "Top Hat" "Top Kill" , a cap, and finally a better cap. That on around day  89 no oil leaked in the gulf  for the first time since April 19th.
Attacks and anger on BP happened including on the CEO of the British Oil Comany ,Tony Hayword, was ousted from day to day in U.S spill and now being transfered from CEO to a leader at BP Russia.   The economic impact may be worse  fishers in the gulf had to stop work  because of the spill and many other oil workers in the gulf had to quit due to stops on banning of oil drilling. Also due to beaches being closed there was really no one coming to the beaches due to fear of oil. On day 100 we are still waiting for the relief wells to finally happen and stop this all. Most of the oil has been degrading in the water due to natural processes.  Scares happend too including 2 tropical storms which gladly did nothing to the oil.
many beaches have been closed due to the spill.
So the work still has to be done to soon , maybe revive the gulf area which was hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and now this almost 5 years later. The oil spill has cost a lot and it will continue.

Now here's a video  with more coverage  from CNN.

Breaking News House Votes 224-206 to Approve Rule for Health Care Debate

Sunday March 21st 2010
Mychiller news-  The House voted 224-206 Sunday to approve the rules for debate of a massive health insurance overhaul that evidently satisfies few but is viewed by House Democrats as better than no reform.
House Republicans were doing all they could to slow the increasingly inevitable march toward the overhaul and were joined by 28 Democrats who voted with Republicans against the rule, which laid out plans to limit debate.
Two more showdown votes were left -- passage of the Senate bill and then the package of changes to the Senate-passed bill, including deletion of special Medicaid benefits for Nebraska known as the " cornhusker kickback" and other deals made to win Senate support.
President Obama will have to sign the Senate bill into law before any "fixes" bill goes to the Senate under fast-track rules that would enable Democrats to pass it without facing a Republican filibuster. Democrats control 59 of the Senate's 100 seats, one vote shy of the number needed to overcome bill-killing filibusters from a united GOP.
But senators have given no guarantees they will pass the fixes, which are strictly the wishes of House Democrats.
Dismissing calls for months to scrap the plan and start over, House Democrats grew increasingly confident throughout the day that they would have the 216 votes needed to pass the legislation approved in the Senate on Christmas Eve.

Shame on you : Abc News ?

Written by Terry of mychiller.com

Abc News paid for an interview with the accused Casey Anthony , the one in court for the murder of her daughter allegedly, they paid $200,000. Something strange to me thought they fired 400 staffers about 2 weeks ago to save money . Though Abc Said :"In August 2008, we licensed exclusive rights to an extensive library of photos and home videos for use by our broadcast platforms, affiliates and international partners," "No use of material was tied to any interview."

The payments were revealed Thursday in an Orange County, Fla., court proceeding, which was concerned with whether Anthony can be declared indigent and thus receive a taxpayer-funded defense.

Well then Shame on you ABC!  Don't pay for interviews you are  not  In touch magazine.  Because you pay for an interview you are tainting the news and not making it good for journalism. Don't do it again!!

Opinion: Toyota's big problem by Mary of mychilleropinion

Where in the world has this gone on too? Toyota is suffering badly now due to their safety problems  that have even caused hearings , I don't know how hearings help anything , many cars and models from Toyota and Lexus have been recalled to due to accelerator and break problems . Now my why is the government going to anything about this problem? Hopefully no because they would screw it up but then at that same time is Toyota credible anymore? Why should they be considered creditable? Now to make a decision but you have to tell Toyota yourself you are dissatisfied with Toyota then don't buy a Toyota.  We can do as many hearings as we want government but if  people get hurt by this it won't work out. Face it , we may have caused this ourselves we wanted cars that were energy smart and wanted cars that had  a way to use the time when you are stopped to power up your car. These are powered by computers and computers have glitches. So really why would I want a hybrid car if they can't it right?

croglogmychiller persons of the yaer 2009: Journalist of the year

Mychiller Croglog persons of the year2009 as we now turn to talk about Journalist of year that we had to know that this selection was bound to happen. Diane Sawyer is the choice she took the spot as ABC WORLD NEWS primary anchor this month after Charles Gibson retired. She has become the second female to become the main of anchor evening news after Katie Couric on CBS ,who Sawyer is now competing against. To be found ironic that Diane and Couric used to compete in the Morning. She left her morning job at Good Morning America to take the spot. What can be said on how she has changed the news in evening which is going into a different trend with more viewers leaving the evening news for more other things like Cable TV news and the internet. She's the choice for this spot but when we have another journalist for our twitter section coming up. She's going a new path in News and this will be seen as a new idea for a news time that needs something new.

Croglog Mychiller persons of the year 2009:Business of the year

This year with so many things going on in the economy we have to talk about the Busines of the year. Yes I know this is the Person's of the year list but businesses have people in them so that works out.
Ford ,the auto company that did, yes Ford we talked so much about GM and Chrysler getting Bail outs going Bankrupt with some brands closing with GM but the Company. But Ford did something different they didn't take a Bail-out and they have had better sales than the other 2 companies and have not gone unto bankruptcy. This is our only thing we are talking about in this group. Ford had become the company that didn't make people mad for taking a bail-out they weren't talked about much but maybe because they weren't the one with the Problem That's why Ford is our Business of the year. In this specail Category to start our Mychiller-Croglog person's of the year.
Next: We begin our persons of the year in the main part of what we can do.

Opinion: Tiger woods do I care?

A specail piece by Terry of mychiller opinion

I am deciding to write about a sports story this time but really why do we care so much about what the heck Tiger woods does? Ask 3 questions the media should also think of. 1. Does this effect me? 2. Why is this important? 3. Would you want this reported if it was you? Now time to apply these. Does Tiger woods' recent scandals effect me? Well No not me I was not in the accident or nothing of my mine was destroyed. Why is this improant? Tiger Woods is important to me what he does unless he killed someone the only persons this is important too is Tiger Woods and his family. Would I want this if it was me to be all over the news. To report someone's mis comings of adultery is in my word is wrong because it's a private matter for him and his family. So why does we need to talk about the Tiger woods scandal? It's not effecting me or you so really that's why it's just plain wrong. And to the media think about these 3 things.

Does a war on Christmas mean?

A special Opinion piece by Mychiller Opinion Writer Mary

As Christmastime nears  the time of the year where's there's a fight over Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. Every year you see fights over displays of Navity scenes and word of Christmas or Holidays. Does it really matter? If you celebrate Christmas then Say Merry Christmas. If you want to have a  Christmas Scene then you have the right to one. The same point that Someone who celebrates Hanukkah can say Happy Hanukkah and if he says it someone who celebrates   Christmas that person can say Happy Hanukkah or Merry Christmas to him. The question is why do we fight every year over Holiday or Christmas or What ever? We should learn use what the season means to have joy, peace on earth. I say Merry Christmas but I don't get all angry over someone who says Happy Holidays to me. It's to much to get into a fight over something so minor. So to say that. Merry Christmas to you.

As fall comes

Written by our very own Matthew.
As Fall comes the leaves are changing to something of magical colors of red, Yellow, Orange. That the weather begins to bring a nip unto the air that other wise wouldn't be there. We think of the Pumpkins of Halloween the Turkey of thanksgiving. The end of baseball season the beginning of football season. We see the weather change maybe with the return of snow. As we say good bye to summer and the end of the year is nearer than we thought. Happy Fall nice meeting you once again thanks for coming don't stay to long. That's Fall that's as fall comes.

Wildfire near LA heads north, threatens thousands

A growing wildfire in the mountains above Los Angeles surged north Sunday, forcing more evacuations and threatening some 10,000 homes.
Residents of the small town of Acton were urged to evacuate as the 4-day-old blaze headed into the Antelope Valley. The fire spread in all directions, leaving three people burned, destroying at least three homes and forcing thousands to flee.
"The leading edge, the one they're really focused on, is that northern edge. It's moving pretty fast up in that direction," said U.S. Forest Service spokesperson Randi Jorgenson. "But the fire's growing in all directions. All fronts are going to be areas of concern today."

A slight drop in temperatures and an influx of fire crews from around the state were expected to bring some relief Sunday. Some 2,000 firefighters were battling the blaze.
Mandatory evacuations were in effect for neighborhoods in Altadena, Glendale, Pasadena, La Crescenta and Big Tujunga Canyon.

Gas Prices on the Rise.

Retail gas prices climbed for the 50th straight day Wednesday, the longest streak in records dating to 1996, even as benchmark crude fell for the fourth day in a row.
Historically, filling station prices tend to rise during the summer as millions of vacationing Americans pour onto the highways. A surge in crude prices during the past few months and less production from the refiners that make gasoline has added even more pressure on prices. Pump prices added a half cent overnight to a new national average of $2.679 a gallon, according to AAA.

An indictment unsealed Friday ,Myers worked his way into higher and higher U.S. security clearances while secretly partnering with his wife, Gwendolyn Steingraber Myers, as clandestine agents so valued by the Cuban government that they once had a private four-hour meeting with President Fidel Castro. Two months ago, the Obama administration took steps to relax a trade embargo imposed on the island nation in 1962.
